Question: Nearly all coffee beans come from tropical climates( s. amer., afr., aust.,) so how ...?

...is Scandinavian or german Coffee made. I know the climate there is to cold to grow it (and it usually states it is African beans on such anyway). But what do they do to the beans there to make the coffee so good? |

Your question is more statement than question. To answer what little part of a question I see, the difference is the roasting techniques. Remember this is all just opinion. Everyone has their own taste and preference. . |

Interesting..... As you mentioned, they use the same beans (more or less) all over the world from certain parts of the globe. I think the difference lies in the beans and how the respective country roasts them, the biggest difference in the natural bean and how the bean is roasted. For example, Starbucks scorches their beans giving it the "distinctive' burned flavor. Interesting note: Generally, the lighter color the bean, the more caffeine the bean contains (Generally) |

Each area has its own micro climate. it is the weather, soil and environment that makes the difference. you can take a bean from costa rica and plant it in california, but it wont be the same. coffee grows in higher elevation with good draining soil, and humid climate |
