People I ask know what I mean but don't know what they are called or where I can buy them. Tried searching on the net with a few names with no joy. Thank you for the answers so far but they are not coasters and they are not paper doillies. May be worth me stating I am in the UK.

I worked in a hotel and there was a special name for them that i cant remember. but they are also called doilies mypapershop.com/ paper-doilies.html

Coasters, and you dont buy them unless your a business. I love taking them from places since they always have tons and are virtually worthless otherwise. but i suppose a party supply store, a dollar store, a supermarket, or places online like ebay

They are called paper DOILLIES and are available froma party store or dollar general or other dollar store.
