Drinking too much coffee (I wouldn't exceed 3 cups) can lead to hyper activity, irritability, anxiety, paranoia, messed up heart beat (each cup of coffee increases your heart rate 10 beats per min, which can cause heart palpitations) and insomnia. Some people often get severe headaches when the don't have their daily cup or try to withdraw. My advice is to stick to 2 cups coffee/ energy drink a day. If you limit yourself to this amount you reap the benefits of coffee, such as increased mental alertness, antioxidants, and extra energy. I don't get effected by caffeine so I have no personal experiences to share. I had 12 coffees one day, completely fine. Mind you, I did have 2 coffees, Mother energy drink and no-doze and was bouncing off the wall! Not the way to be in a university lecture, i'll tell you now

At 3 per day it will lead to nothing.
