Question: Question about coffee beans?

Ok so i'm writing a story, and i not sure if ground coffee beans can be out in hot weather and still good enough to use. i know this is a strange question, but if anyone knows the answer will you please tell me? thank you

As long as its sealed up good its fine if its not sealed it will get stale and taste way different
