I LOVE coffee but I can never make it as good as the restaurants or other people. Could I be making it to weak?? Or what?? Thanks. :o) I do that and go by the instructions and it just is not the same. :( Maybe my tap water is bad.

Only use an Espresso machine, anything else will make crap tasting coffee. There is a lot of skill in using the machine and will need lots of training and practice to get to the level of a Barista. Things to be careful of are: 1.) Getting the grind correct. 2.) Using enough coffee 3.) Not over brewing the coffee (so only use the first of the good coffee to come out of the machine) Most people see the amount of coffee going into the basket and think it is a waste and expect more coffee out of it. To make the best you have to only use the best part of the coffee, If this first creamy dark part of the coffee is not enough or strong enough for you use the double sized basket. 4.) Don't over heat (Burn) the milk, also don't make it too cold. 5.) Usually the first coffee to be made in your machine will be no good. The machine needs to warm up to start making good coffee. 6.) Keep the machine clean. You can watch training videos on sites like youtube. But most of all you just have to practice, and get to know your machine.

Use a drip machine or a french press Use 1 tablespoon grounds per cup (cup as being defined as a cup mark on the drip machine, not 8 ounces) Use freshly ground coffee Use ice cold water. If your tap water is heavily chlorinated or has other flavors, then filter it or use jugged water.

It is better if you freshly brewed it and mix with creamer.
