Carbohydrates and coffee (folgers)?

Question: Carbohydrates and coffee (folgers)?

(Posted by: indee. on 2008-05-05 13:53:05)

I thought I knew for a fact that coffee (regular black) had fiber in it, but when I look at the nutrition facts it says it has 0 of everything, calories, carbs, fiber, etc. Does it really have no carbs and no fiber?

Making coffee creates an oil from heating beans that flavors the water and contains caffeine. This is not to be confused with fiber or carbs. If you actually chewed the beans, then there would be some actual nutrients.

Correct - no carbs, no fiber. Unless you chew on the actual coffee grounds - they have some fiber. But brewed coffee has no nutritional value.
