You are going to need an espresso machine. You need to pull one shot of espresso and place it in a cup. The espresso machine will have a milk steamer one the side. Put 10oz cold milk in a stainless steel container and heat the milk to 60 to 70 degrees C. Be careful, because the milk can almost double in volume. If it goes up too much over that, the milk will "burn " and you get to throw away the milk and start over. We used to use the sound of the steam to tell when the milk is ready. When the milk heats up, the milk fats will come to the top. Pour the milk and the milk fats into the cup with the espresso to get latte. To get mocha you just follow the steps for a latte but pour some chocolate syrup along the sides of the cup before you pour the heated milk. If you put the nozzle of the milk steamer just below the surface of the cold milk, the milk will foam up and you can make cappuccino. |

The starbucks mocha is the mocha syrup with the said shots of espresso and steamed milk as the wonderful person above mentioned. A latte is just espresso shots with a lot of steamed milk. Cappuccino is espresso shots, steamed milk, and a good amount of foam on top. everything else... it's pretty much just a matter of syrups, but the main base for all starbucks drinks is in fact espresso and milk. = 3 |
